|Recommended: YesRecommended — Location is great, good access to Franklin Street and UNC. The rent is cheap considering it includes all of utilities. Building is slightly old, not so clean but not so dirty. Maintenance Staff is great. Overall, I recommend if you want to save your money and live near the UNC.
|Recommended: NoThe front desk staff is super super rude and not helpful.

|Recommended: YesGreat 1Br Apartment close to campus — Having been at University apartments for over a year, I must say that I've been very pleased with my experience. It's a great value for its proximity to the UNC campus, available parking, and single unit availability relative to the other nearby complexes. It is perfect for undergrad grad UNC students. I also appreciate the fact that it is pet friendly. The building is a bit older, though, so bugs and an occasional maintenance request are just part of the routine. The walls are also thin and noise travels, so while the place is usually quiet you will overhear neighbors' arguments and crying babies at times. Still, the complex is great and I am happy with my decision to live here.
|Recommended: YesDream apartment complex with amazing design and staff — I've been living at University Apartments for about two months now, and it's everything I dreamed having my own place could be. The layout of the apartment is extremely intuitive and efficient, so the design is definitely my favorite part. The huge windows are a plus, and the configuration of the units and the amount of vertical storage space make the space seem larger. The design also just makes sense for all of my needs--there's space for everything, no unused areas, and it's customizable even with the sturdy and gorgeous furniture that comes with the apartment. I'm a fan of symmetry, and the building, units, and furniture satisfy that quite well. The trash chute is also so awesome and convenient. A few more small touches that add up to me loving living here the kitchens are great and have the perfect amount of storage space and awesome appliances. The closets upon entry are huge and wonderful and convenient. There are security cameras in the halls and codes to get into the building which adds to my peace of mind. The built-in bookshelves are great, as is the tv stand bookcase unit. The sliding doors are floor-to-ceiling, and it just looks really nice. There are plenty of electrical outlets. The complex is active on social media and posts nice resources and also has some giveaways--I won a Roku Express which was incredible The colors of the floors and hallways in the building are beautiful. And also just the ease of having furniture and utilities included in rent alleviates a lot of stress. With a wonderful location and easy parking and guest parking, the complex fits all of my needs as a grad student at UNC - Chapel Hill. It's also fairly quiet and very peaceful which I appreciate, and the staff is quite helpful and friendly It's nice to visit the office where they recognize me and treat me with warmth and respect. I appreciate honest reviews, so, in thinking of negatives, only two things came to mind, and they really aren't a big deal to me. The grounds could be a little nicer, and I often see large bugs on the stairs, but...also it's the South in the summer, so...to be expected. The laundry facilities could also be a tad nicer. Compared to other places I've lived, this is the same or better. And the WiFi is public WiFi and has great download speed but really slow upload speed. This isn't usually a problem, but with all of my classes being remote and having to do more video calls and such, this is kind of a problem. But, seeing as that's the most negative thing I could think of, I still give this apartment complex five stars for sure. I've had two maintenance requests that were both handled really promptly and also with helpfulness, friendliness, warmth, and respect. When my friends helped me move in they commented that the elevators had a hospital horror movie vibe--but I love movies so much and my favorite genre is 70s horror, so that fits my vibe well and is definitely something I view quite favorably. Love the elevators. Overall, I would definitely recommend University Apartments and am really grateful that I live here

|Recommended: YesA decent place to live near down town — The property is decent, nice clean with good maintenance. In this budget, it is very difficult to get near down town. Everything is nearby from this place...thats the big advantage of residing here.. If I would be alone I would have surely stayed here much longer.
Thanks for the review. The location of the building is one of the best things about it. Its located near both down town and the campus allowing the students that live here the ability to walk to both the campus and downtown in just a few minutes. Good luck on your future en-devours!
